12/4/2016 One Call Message

This week’s greeters and servers are Betty Gutschlag.

We will be offering communion this Sunday as it is the first Sunday in December. For anyone attending services on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day communion will also be offered at both of those services.

There will be a brief meeting of the woman of the church after service this Sunday.

We have begun placing some of the nativity pieces on the church grounds to begin our celebration and remembrance of the special Christmas season. All of the pieces were created by church members making them even more special. A wonderful job – using loving hands – was done by all.

Also, the poinsettias you purchased arrived and are now gracing our church for the holiday season.

A week from tomorrow, Saturday, December 10th the annual free Christmas Gift Wrap will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Nancy Sheibley and her volunteers will be available to wrap any gifts brought to the church. Donations support the Blanket Ministry…

As we have done each year, for the next three Sunday’s (through December 18th) we will collect donations for a Christmas gift for Fran, Rhonda and Laney. Please mark your envelopes as to how you would like your donation distributed among the three.

Next Sunday, December 11th – choir practice will take place prior to service. And following service a congregational meeting will take place. Please plan on attending this important annual meeting. Then, in the evening on the 11th, at 5:00 p.m. our Thankful Christmas meal of soup, salad, and dessert will be held at the church. A sign up sheet can be found on the back table.

We have now begun to collect used coats, jackets, scarves, gloves, sweaters or hats to donate to Sister Care and Oliver Gospel Mission. Check your closets to assist those in need.

You will find copies of the updated Birthday/anniversary list and the 2017 greeter and server list on the back table.

Have a wonderful rest of the week and see you on Sunday!
