11/25/2016 One Call Message

Our greeters and servers this week are Ray and Merry Daniels.

This Sunday is the last Sunday donations will be collected for Thornwell’s Children Home.

All of the food donated throughout November for our thankful Thanksgiving was delivered to the Fairfield County Food Bank by Mo Branham and Marge Whitney. Several families were able to enjoy a holiday meal thanks to everyone’s generosity.

A week from this Sunday, on December 4th there will be a brief meeting after service for the Women of the Church.

On Saturday, December 10th the annual free Christmas Gift Wrap will take place at the church from 10:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m. Nancy Sheibley has a few volunteers, but a couple more would be appreciated. Bring your own unwrapped presents and let your family, friends, and neighbors know we are happy to take on this task! Any donations support the Blanket Ministry…

We have a very busy day on Sunday, December 11th – choir practice will take place prior to service. Also on Sunday the 11th a congregational meeting will take place following service. Please plan on attending this important meeting. Then in the evening of the 11th, at 5:00 p.m. our Thankful Christmas meal of soup, salad, and dessert will take place at the church. If you haven’t yet signed up, a sign up sheet can be found on the back table.

As we have in previous years, we will begin collecting used coats, jackets, scarves, gloves, sweaters or hats to donate to Sister Care and Oliver Gospel Mission. There is a great need for these articles of clothing to keep the less fortunate warm as we move into the colder season. Any items will be greatly appreciated.

As the busy holidays are now upon us, please try to remember to take a moment for those names on our prayer list. It is always appreciated when a card, phone call or visit is received.

Have a wonderful rest of your holiday weekend, and……..see you on Sunday!
