11/16/2016 One Call Message

This week’s greeters and servers are Felix and Lisa Colon.

Thank you to everyone assisting in the painting of items to be used for our Live Nativity this year. The project has been completed and a special thank you to everyone involved.

Tomorrow, Saturday November 19th, our roadside pickup will take place. Please be at the church to begin pickup at 9:00 a.m.

Choir practice will be held this Sunday prior to service at 8:00 a.m. and Session will meet following this week’s service.

Also this Sunday following service, please join us in decorating the church Christmas tree. This is a special time for church fellowship.

Items to be added to the cornucopia at the front of the church can include small one pound canned hams, cans of yams, chicken broth or turkey gravy, cranberry sauce or stuffing mix as well as the canned greens usually donated. These items will go to the Fairfield County Food Bank and will be distributed to families for each of the upcoming holidays. This will continue for the remainder of November.

We will continue to collect donations for the Thornwell Children’s Home throughout the remainder of November.

We have some upcoming events to mark on your calendars for December: Saturday, December 10th from 10:00-1:00 pm is the annual Christmas Gift Wrapping project that supports the blanket ministry through donations. Tell your family, friends, and neighbors to bring their unwrapped gifts to the church and leave the task of gift wrapping to us. Bring your own too and enjoy some refreshments while you wait!

Be ready to join your church friends for our Thankful Christmas Dinner at 5:00 pm on Sunday, December 11th. A sign up sheet can be found at the back table.

Please remember those on our prayer list with a card, visit or phone call.

Have a wonderful rest of the week, and….see you on Sunday
